Anna Sheffield hails from New Mexico where the stark, natural environs provided the basis for her simple, unembellished aesthetic. She received her BFA from the Academy of Art in San Francisco with a concentration in blacksmithing, welding, and fabrication-the sculptural techniques learned there are inextricably linked to her jewelry making process. Sheffield has lived and worked in New York City since the spring 2002.

Drawing inspiration from all aspects of her surroundings, she mingles contemporary devices with the charm of curious objects and antiquities. In the past year, she has expanded her design to encompass fine jewelry and men's accessories as well as a full line of handbags and belts.

Sheffield's accessories have attracted the attention of collectors and celebrities. She has collaborated with renowned designers Marc Jacobs, 3.1 Philip Lim, and Lutz & Patmos through Bing Bang Jewelry. In addition, she has been honored with a nomination by the CFDA for the 2007 Swarovski Accessories Award.
